Six years after the purchase of a slitter rewinder model STM50, the South African company Didget Printing has renewed its trust in Bimec and has recently started-up a new duplex slitter rewinder model TF60.
Didget Printing is a rapidly expanding reality in the flexible packaging sector and is the first company in Africa to have created fully recyclable polyethylene stand up pouches. A dynamic company driven by innovation, it chose Bimec for the expansion of its production department, purchasing the TF model with integral shaftless unwind stand. Thanks to the compactness of the innovative design, this solution allows to obtain the same performances that are usually achieved with large slitter rewinders and with unwinding stand positioned on the back.
The slitter rewinder TF60 unwinds mother rolls up to 900 mm, rewinds finished rolls up to 600 mm diameter and it can reach a maximum speed of 800 m/min. It is designed both for razor blades and pneumatic circular knives slitting, it allows integration with a laser perforation unit and side discharge of finished rolls up to a maximum width of 1200 mm.
Davide Bottoli – Bimec General Manager – declares: “Although it was impossible to go physically to Didget Printing company to start up the machine, we were able to provide all the necessary assistance to allow the customer to start it remotely under our supervision, in a simple way and with very quick times.”
