FUTURA: the new generation of Bimec Slitter Rewinders previewed at PRINT4ALL

Bimec S.r.l., is presenting its brand new FUTURA line at PRINT4ALL: a concentration of innovation, efficiency and technology, the result of 50 years of experience in the converting field.

The FUTURA range includes the TF Single-Face Slitter Rewinder, the STM Duplex Slitter Rewinder, the TCA and BBOX Duplex Turret Slitter Rewinders, as well as a selection of special slitters fully customized.

A renewed design, an even more robust structure and a new user interface make every machine in the FUTURA range a reliable ally for simplifying the operator’s work, drastically reducing the risk of human error and minimizing machine downtimes.

The FUTURA range is built around three fundamental pillars:

• The interactive synoptic panel, which clearly displays the material path and includes integrated tutorials which guide the operator through setup and maintenance procedures.
• Emergency recovery, which ensures quick and safe restart in case of interruptions, thanks to step-by-step guided procedures.

• Real-time monitoring, allowing immediate access to production data directly from the main screen, ensuring constant control over the entire process.

The control panel, featuring fully digitalized buttons, offers a modern and intuitive interface, while the “One-Push” reels unloading system further simplifies and speeds up the unloading operations.

Completing the picture are two key elements designed to meet future challenges: Cyber Security Ready capability for advanced system data protection and AI Ready integration, enabling compatibility with Artificial Intelligence modules dedicated to process analysis and optimization.

ROBUSTNESS
The reinforced structure of the FUTURA line ensures greater load capacity and long-lasting system durability.

The FUTURA line also includes special slitter rewinders, customized for complex and non-standard applications.

Thanks to its engineering expertise and a highly qualified technical team, Bimec is able to develop tailor-made solutions for processing materials and applications beyond flexible packaging, handling web widths over 1800 mm and rewind diameters exceeding 800 mm.

A key strength of the FUTURA range is the B-KNIFE slitting system, entirely designed by Bimec to enhance slitting performance.

This system is unique in the industry, fully mechanical which ensures maximum precision and flexibility. It allows for the management of a wide range of materials and applications, with a minimum slitting width of 20 mm, intuitive regulation of overlap setting and cant angle configuration, automatic knife positioning and easy interchangeability between shear and razor cutting (both in air or in groove).
