Lidersan Saglik strengthens its partnership with Bimec with the commissioning of two new STM 80 C+ Duplex Slitter Rewinders
A partnership that began more than ten years ago and has steadily grown through ongoing investments. This is the story of the collaboration between Bimec and Lidersan Saglik, a company founded in 2006 and headquartered in Gaziantep, Turkey, now recognized as one of the leading international players in the hygiene and personal care sector.
The collaboration between Lidersan and Bimec started in 2015 with the purchase of the first STM 80 duplex slitter rewinder. The following year, impressed by the machine’s performance in terms of slitting precision, reliability and productivity, the Turkish company renewed its confidence in the Italian manufacturer by investing in a second STM 80.
In 2025, Lidersan further strengthened its slitting department by ordering two additional STM 80 duplex slitters in the compact C+ configuration, featuring a semi-integrated unwind stand.
The two machines were installed in September 2025 and, after six months of full-capacity operation, are performing to the customer’s complete satisfaction, confirming the effectiveness of the technological solution adopted.
The STM 80 slitters are designed for slitting with razor blades and mechanical circular knives, ensuring maximum versatility when processing a wide range of materials used in flexible packaging applications.
Both machines are equipped with a splicing table featuring a short web-path under the running board, designed to be properly isolated from the floor. This technical solution meets a key requirement in the hygiene sector: preventing material contamination from dust particles, while ensuring easy, fast and comfortable access for the operator to the splicing table and slitting system, all within a very compact machine layout.

These specifications enable Lidersan to combine high productivity with strict quality control - key factors for a global player in the hygiene sector.
This latest investment further strengthens the relationship between Lidersan and Bimec and highlights the Turkish company’s commitment to relying on high-performance technologies to support its growth in international markets.
